Not much to report in the south of Lake Tahoe in the beer category, although contract brews seem to be popular. At the base of the slopes of Kirkwood, there's an outdoor dispensary of fine beverages, including a fine pale ale called Bub's Pale Ale which is brewed by Lagunitas. It's got lots of hops, good aroma, and a fine malty base that realy quinches the thirst after a few hours of skiing.
About 40 minutes to the northeast is a little town, whose name I forgot, which had beer of a slightly inferior overall composure brewed by Red Hook. Nice details huh?
